Features
Sensor MED-127 is used with AP-019 and AP-027 series of receivers by TECHNO-AC. It is used for the selection of the cable from a bunch, for location of internal wiring and cable fault location.
Two modes of operation:
- Electromagnetic sensor mode.
- AC electric field indicator.
How does it work?
1. Electromagnetic sensor mode (mode switch to position 
).
In electromagnetic sensor mode the device is used for the selection of the cable from a bunch by indicating minimal and maximal signal.
2. AC electric field indicator mode (mode switch to position 
).
In this mode, MED-127 sensor forms the incoming signal depending on the electric field level from the located utility. Control and comparison of signal level can be don with contact and indirect measurement.
In AC electric field indicator mode the sensor allows to locate “friend” cable without creating AC current in the cable (see picture below), it can also detect hidden wiring and break of unarmored cable (if it is directly accessible).
